Downtime & Materials Loss Analytics Solve100 worked closely with the manufacturing team of an international producer of baked goods to implement shop floor data collection analysis around two key value leaks: downtime and material loss. Every downtime event was assigned a failure area, category and cause, as was every scrap event. This allowed us to work with continuous improvement teams in the plants to eliminate the issues and inefficiencies contributing to those value leaks.

Production Analytics for one of North America’s top producers of turkey, ham, chicken, and beef products. Solve100 was brought in to create analytical dashboards that would improve visibility into key metrics and provide greater insight into production efficiency, product inventory and delivery logistics. Working closely with the client data team, we quickly created dashboards for inventory on-hand, 10-week inventory and production forecasts for operations, and product distribution metrics for sales.
Financial Analytics From Legacy Systems for one of the top 10 vertically integrated chicken producers in America, offering customers a wide range of top-quality poultry products. The company owns and operate eight production facilities in four states, and employs more than 7,000 team members. The client’s business intelligence capability had been built around legacy technologies, and significant weaknesses were identified especially around key domains like sales, margin and production. In particular, complex business logic was buried in code where there was little to no documentation or awareness.
Solve100 worked across departments to clarify business logic and ensure data accuracy. The ETL functions were built to include central, transparent handling of business rules, and conformed structures were leveraged to ensure simplicity and scale. Dashboards were created to provide visibility into profitability, sales, accounts receivable, and more. And invoices were recreated as BI visualizations – an innovative solution that allowed quick discovery of the cause of invoice inaccuracies across the organization.
